This hard drive was very easy to use with my mac after I reformatted it to my operating system. It was slightly frustrating as the packaging says it is possible but gives no instructions on how to do it, and neither does the online product help page. By googling "how to reformat an external hard drive for mac" I was able to find a message board that discussed this topic. It took the third of the suggested options to reformat, but after this (which only took about 10 minutes) the hard drive was drag and drop ready. Files transfer quickly and are easily indexed. A great value for the money!
