I agree with a previous poster's review that the Basic version will never be updated after you purchase it. Had I known this fact before I purchased, it would have been a deal-breaker for me. The reason I got the Basic is because I saw no need for the extra software included in the Personal and up.
The device is pleasantly fast and I've nothing to complain about on the fit and finish of the device. It's built very solid (literally) and durable. Other Flash drive manufacturers should take notice of the awesome hardware design of this unit. Also, it's pretty difficult to find a USB Flash drive that uses SLC (Single Level Cell) chips these days so I'm glad I found them. All other manufacturers seem to be sticking with MLC (Multi Level Cell) memory which doesn't last near as long as the SLC flavor.
FYI: I was very angry when the IronKey wasn't working very well with my machine until I figured out why. If you have problems on Windows 7 with the autoplay or the device not working properly, check to see if you have DVD43 installed. If so, exit out of DVD43 before plugging in the IronKey and it will work like it should.
