The SafeStick is a good product. It's security features are a little more than I need, but it does work well. I wanted read/write speed, and though it is miles ahead of cheap ordinary thumb drives, it still isn't as fast as a hard drive. For all intents and purposes though, it's probably fast enough for most people, so we'll leave it at that. You need to login every time you use is, and the login for Mac users is a little kludgy and not at all Mac-like. You have to click on a button that says "login." If you've just plugged it in, why would you want to do anything else?? One senseless click.... Next, once you've entered your password, you must reach for the mouse and click on the arrow. Hitting return does nothing. Another senseless click.... next you must close the login window as it floats over everything else and is in the way, serving no purpose. A third senseless click... Other than an idiotic login interface, it's rugged, very compact and works well. I would strongly recommend it, and if you buy it and you're on a Mac, I would quickly email BlockMaster and ask them to have a Mac programmer redo the login interface!
