This printer is incredible! Before I had a crap HP printer that was 10 years old and so this Lexmark is amazing! The LCD screen makes life so much easier and you can do so much at such a small effort.
The printer is very smart and I mean SMART. It knows if a telephone call is a fax or just a regular call, the printer knows automatically which place to copy from with its sensors because there are 2 places to put things you want to copy (inside the lid of the printer for single copies or on top of the printer for multiple copies at once), and the printer also knows what kind of paper(letter,photo,index card, ect.) you put in it without you even specifying. I could go on forever about how smart the printer is...
Now, to get to the actual print quality. The printer comes with 3 Premium Photo Paper samples for you to test how a photo looks when you print on it. I'll tell ya, it looks just as good as developed pictures from a store do(maybe even better). You can fool around with the settings and make the quality better and basically change almost anything you want.
There are alot of features and one I like in particular is that you can plug in many different media cards/USB into you printer to get pictures off of them. The devices that the printer takes are SM/xD,MS,CF/MD,SD/MMC, and USB flash drive. I have a Compact Flash card that works wonderfully with the printer. I just drag and drop images from my other computer onto the Compact Flash card, plug it into the printer and BAM. I can then look at my pictures in full color on the LCD screen and even see a print preview of how it will look before it prints off. The computer your printer is connected to will also open up a lexmark program window asking if you want to copy the pictures off of the media drive or print them off using the computer. This way the printer becomes a drive bay in a sense.
Another nice feature is that whatever computer the printer is connected to can do alot of things. You can scan something and instead of the printer printing it out it will send it automatically to a specific program(which opens automatically) on your computer like Email, Microsoft Paint, Microsoft Power Point, ect. The computer that you printer is hooked up to also senses almost anything that you do with the printer just to make it easier if you want to do it on the computer rather than the LCD screen.
Well there is so much more I could say about this product. It's great...truly great. It does take a little getting used to with the LCD screen and all but dont let that discourage you because it really is easy to use and will change the way you copy, print, and fax for life.
