Although USB3 devices are not common, that's no reason to avoid this little gadget. Firstly, you can use it directly with a USB2 port, you'll get USB2 speeds. But even better, it comes with a y-cable for use with a pair of USB2 ports, which gives you much higher speeds. They advertise 30MB, but the best I saw was 21MB. Still, very good when you're copying tons of data.

Only concern I have is that it seems to get very warm, so I worry about leaving it plugged in for a long period.
