I purchased this thumb drive while I was on a deployment to Iraq in 2007-2008. I needed something that I could toss in the bottom of my pack and forget about until I needed it. It had to be able to get knocked around, neglected, rained on, and "survive" in a dusty, dirty, generally unhealthy environment.

Two weeks after I received the drive, I dropped it as I was crossing a road. I turned around just in time to see a Bradley vehicle drive over it. I retrieved the pieces and tossed them in my pocket. When I was able to take the time to look at the damage, it turned out that the only thing that was broken was the outer enclosure. The actual thumb drive was slightly bent at the point where the USB connector meets the memory stick, but I was able to plug it in to a computer and download my data from the drive without problem. When I sent an email to Corsair support, they replied with "send us the drive and we'll send you a replacement, free of charge." The replacement drive has worked as well as the original and I have never regretted the investment I made with this purchase.
